What is the Exquisite Fabric AI Pattern Maker?

A free browser-based pattern maker from Exquisite Fabric, the Los Angeles Fashion District fabric store. It drafts custom sewing patterns from your body measurements for 22 garment types, recommends the right Exquisite Fabric material for each design, estimates yardage, and exports print-ready files.

Is the AI Pattern Maker free?

Yes — your first 10 patterns are free, including yardage estimates and print-at-home export. It is built for Exquisite Fabric customers designing garments they will sew in our fabrics.

What garments can I make patterns for?

Swimwear (bikini tops and bottoms, one-pieces, swim dresses, rash guards), activewear (leggings, sports bras, crop tops, biker shorts, tennis dresses), dancewear (leotards, dance costumes), dresses (bodycon, maxi), bridal (gowns and lace overlays), plus corset tops, jumpsuits, skirts, kids leotards, lingerie sets and fully custom designs — 22 garment types in total.

How do I know how much fabric to buy?

The pattern preview calculates the yards needed for your exact measurements at your chosen fabric width, and links directly to the matching Exquisite Fabric collection so you can order the right amount.

How do I print my pattern at the correct size?

Use the Print PDF option and set your printer to 100% scale (actual size), never fit-to-page. Patterns include your selected seam allowance. You can also export SVG for digital workflows.

Are my measurements private?

Yes. Patterns are drafted entirely in your browser — your measurements are never uploaded to or stored on Exquisite Fabric's servers.
