Description
Wool Press 'n Lock Tiles are interlocking 10" x 10" wool pressing mats, ½" thick and 100% felted wool, designed by Sewing By Sarah. Join them along their puzzle-piece edges to build a pressing mat in any size, then pull them apart for storage or travel.
Pressing mats never seem to be quite the right size: too small for a big block, too bulky to pack for a retreat. With Press 'n Lock Tiles you build the surface you need. Connect four for a large quilt block, line them up in a row for a long binding strip, or break them apart to fit in a carry-on for your next sewing retreat.

Why press on wool?
Wool holds heat and pushes it back up through your fabric, so it presses both sides at once and seams come out flat, usually without steam or starch. The wool also grips your fabric, so blocks stay put without pinning and you can square them up without distortion. You can still pin into the mat when you need to.
More ways to use them
Travel and classes. Take one or take them all; they fit in a small box or a carry-on. Combine tiles with friends to make a huge pressing mat at guild meetings or classes.
Design wall. Hang the tiles with heavy-duty 3M tape to make a design wall or spray-basting surface. Fabric sticks to the wool, or you can pin into it.
Care and accessories
