Halloween is the one night a year your materials do the acting. We've pulled the fabrics from our floor that read hardest under light and on camera — iridescent snakeskin, embossed reptile vinyl, glitter mesh, black velvet, and long-pile faux fur. All sold by the yard from the Los Angeles Fashion District, all in stock now.

Shop by what you're building

Monsters, werewolves, and animal costumes. Long-pile and sherpa faux fur hold a silhouette without interfacing and photograph with real depth. Minky is the fursuit standard. Metallic tinsel ostrich feather fabric is for the creature that needs to catch every light in the room.

Villains, serpents, and armor. Embossed faux snakeskin vinyl and two-way stretch faux leather hold a molded shape and wipe clean. Iridescent snakeskin stretch velvet shifts color as you move, which is what sells a shapeshifter on camera.

Witches, vampires, and gothic. Stretch velvet drapes heavy and absorbs light instead of bouncing it, so black actually reads black on film. Spider mesh lace and glitter mesh layer over it for texture.

Ghosts, spirits, and anything ethereal. Reflective foil chiffon and pleated metallic spandex move like liquid. Glitter mesh over a base layer gives you shimmer without weight.
